Happy Labor Day!

YAY! Today is Labor Day, which means summer is pretty much over! I’ve been feeling it a lot this week with the milder temperatures. Plus, it’s been getting better and better at work. (Although, it’s probably just my attitude.) It has seemed a lot busier the past 2 weeks. I worked last weekend and did very well, which was a welcome suprise. I took some time off this past Tuesday and shot some videos for the site, and did some “homework” online. Then, just worked the rest of the week through Saturday since it was the last week of the month.

Today was a pretty productive day. I decided to skip work so I could do some MUCH needed cleaning around the house. I did a ton of laundry, including my sheets and blankets, vacuumed, dusted, cleaned my kitchen and dishes, and even tidied up the yard (picked up dogpoop). It is so hot outside that I haven’t even been in my own backyard for a while, so nedless to say it was pretty bad.

Trip to the Optometrist

Once again, not much has been going on here since I’ve been working a lot at the club and have had little time for much else. I had a good weekend though, and finally got to go grocery shopping today and get my much needed eye exam. I got some good news….my eyes actually got a little better since last year when I last saw the optometrist.

Stress!

Well, it’s the end of the month, once again, so I’ve been working nonstop to cover bills at home. Summer has really taken a toll on the club, in addition to the slower economy so I’ve been spending longer hours there. Everyone is getting along though, and we even had a potluck yesterday. I brought shrimp cocktail.

Happy 4th of July!

I have been busy, busy like always. Yesterday was the first actual day off I took from my 9-5 in eight straight days. It’s the beginning of the month so I’m just catching up on getting my June bills paid. It felt great to sleep in for once, and I basically sat in front of the computer the rest of the day. Read more

Dreading higher temperatures

Hectic

Well the last few days have been pretty hectic. I’ve been working longer hours at work to make up for how slow it’s been, so needless to say, I have been pretty tired. Finally took a day off yesterday and just got stuff done around the house.  Read more

Well, it’s the end of the month so I have been working pretty much everyday. Memorial Day is probably the only day I had off in the last 2 weeks, and it’s only because we were closed. I ended up doing some cleaning earlier in the day, then went hiking up at Seven Springs. Read more

Summer has officially hit!

Everyone at work seemed to have a case of the monday blues. Plus it was extra slow…following a slow weekend, so needless to say, there was a lot of bitching going on today.  Business slows down here during the summer, and it is painfully obvious that the dry season has arrived. Read more

Fun at the Dog Park

Nothing really exciting going on today. Just went to work, which was dead, but the day went along fine. One of my friends gave me a really great compliment today, which kinda made my day. It’s funny how sometimes the smallest thing can make you smile all day. Read more

Mom’s Day (written 05/11/08)

Overall, it’s been a good weekend. I did well at work on Saturday, then hung out across the street that night. The neighbors had a barbecue with a few of their friends and invited me. There were probably about 15 to 20 people there in all and we just had some drinks, ate food, and hung out in their beautiful backyard. Read more

My First Country Bar Experience (written 05/09/08)

I went to work today, which was pretty boring and slow. After work though, a few of my girls and I went out for sushi at a Japanese restaurant in Tempe I had never been to before. It was pretty fresh and authentic, and the service was decent. I seriously have a problem eating sushi when it’s made by anyone other than a Japanese chef (c’mon, it’s an art!)…but luckily this place is Japanese owned and run, to the best of my belief.
