Zoo Day Trip

Woo-hoo, Superbowl is coming up soon and you have to know by now who’s playing…..the CARDINALS!!!! If they win, then my conspiracy theory might just be true. Haha, let’s totally disregard the fact that they changed quarterbacks. The game was yesterday but I didn’t get a chance to watch it.
Awesome party and a puppy update!!!

Well last night, I went to the club’s annual Christmas party. It was a lot of fun with the same things as last year, and an addition of a Rockband room where you could play the video game with other players. I tried and failed pretty miserably, but people were laughing and having a good time. I got my caricature drawn, which turned out to look nothing like me but hey, it was free!

I haven’t been up to much since my last entry, besides the usual..mostly work. I slept over at Angie’s house on Wednesday after we went to Kona Grill for Reverse Happy Hour where they have half priced sushi rolls, appetizers, and drinks. I guess the food was alright, typical B-grade sushi rolls, and the calamari was okay too.
Thank goodness for Dayquil

Blah, I started to feel the onset of a cold last night and I woke up this morning with a stuffy head and scratchy throat. I decided to stay home today to prevent getting my friends sick at work. Besides, who really wants a lapdance from a dancer with a cold. Not me, at least. I have so much stuff to take care of at home anyways, mostly for the website. I’m planning on shooting some stuff today after I set up the fake xmas tree for a set. I plan on getting a real tree in a week or two, but a plastic evergreen will do for today. Have I mentioned that I can’t believe Christmas is right around the corner?!
Other than that, I need to run some errands later in the day and I have a cam show tonight. I can’t wait till 3 of the pups leave tomorrow for their new homes. The little bastards are drving me crazy! It will be sad to see them go but I am looking forward to getting my house back. Is this what they mean when they say your whole life is going to the dogs???
Getting Old

Finally, my birthday has come and passed. A few of my girls and I went out on Wednesday night for sushi before we hit up the Scottsdale bars. I’m not too fond of partying in Scottsdale, mostly due to high priced drinks and fake snobs…but most of my friends love it, so I had to make everyone happy.
Monday Blues…not really
November 17, 2008 by Isis Lee · Leave a Comment
Today started off as a typical Monday. Went into work, where it was a “typical” Monday, pretty dead but not as many girls as usual. I was about to get off stage right when they played a house song and the bouncer brought up a chair and one of my girls grabbed my hand and said I couldn’t get off stage yet. As customary fashion when it is one of our birthdays, I had to sit while I got boobs in my face and faces in my crotch! LOL….What benefits there are to working there!!! I was actually pretty embarassed but of course it was good times.
Big ta-ta’s in the face are always fun….haha, kinda reminds me of how little mine are!
I’m not working tomorrow, which is why all of this happened today. Techinically though, I was born in Taipei, Taiwan on the 18th and it is the 18th right now over there. Or I guess if you want to look at it another way, it was actually the 17th in the USA when I was born in Taiwan on the 18th….whatever.
Yay, I am officially in my “mid 20’s”! I feel like I just graduated high school! I think my older sister was the first person to tell me that everything goes way quicker after 21.
I need to get my butt back in school! I keep saying it….but my goal is to have a degree before thirty. I guess that sounds a little late compared to how most people picture their college path, but I am having a lot of fun and still feel like I am growing and learning a great deal in the meantime. Besides, 30 is the new 20 right?????
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

Burglary and a found Cheagle

It’s Sunday, which means I have a cam show in about 3 hours…then it’s off to work at the club this afternoon. It has been getting better everyday so everyone has been in better spirits. (I hate listening to bitching and complaining!)
On Thursday night, a friend slept over since we had some dinner and a few drinks at my house. The next morning, my neighbor, Josh, from across the street rang my doorbell at 6 AM! He was just leaving for work when he noticed a tall skinny black dude standing in my driveway. I guess as soon as he saw Josh, he walked up to my front door so Josh figured for a moment that it might be someone I know. He got in his car and started driving to work, but when he got down the street, his instincts told him to go back since it all seemed a little strange. When he got back to my driveway, the black dude was gone but my friend’s truck window had been smashed in! Josh then called the cops and rang my doorbell. Three Phoenix cops showed up and took a report and witness statement. Then they dusted my friend’s truck door and lifted a few prints. They said they would probably not get the guy right away but could use our info if more people started reporting the same incident. All in all, the guy got off with a digital camera and an ipod. Not too bad, but I bet my friend won’t leave valuables in his car anymore. His apartment got broken into a few months ago too! How lame. I, at least, feel a little secure in knowing that my neighbors have my back. Josh was even late for work so he could talk to the cops for us. He seemed pretty amped about catching the guy and said he would identify him in a line-up if he had to. Just some crackhead probably.
And in other news, my crazy dog loving ass has brought another addition into my family. Another one of my friends called me and told me about a little dog she had been seeing around her neighborhood for a few days. Turns out one of her neighbors had moved and just left the poor thing behind!!!!! Who the hell does that???! She is about two years oold, according to another neighbor that had known the dog for a while, and apparently her name is Brownie. I decided not to change her name since she already comes to it. She is about 12 lbs and looks to be a chihuahua/beagle mix. She has the same eyes as Lucky and aboout the same sweet demeanor but I’m guessing by her size and head shape that she is also part Chihuahua…..so she is a Cheagle (or Bea-wa-wa). Here is a pic:

Seriously, who could ever leave that!!!?????? I swear, that is it though! No more dogs!!!! I had been thinking of getting a chihuahua or another beagle for a while, so this is the perfect solution!!! She is just full of love too and you can see how grateful she is to be off the streets!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!!!

My website finally went live this morning! I have to admit that there were more than a few times that I thought this event would never happen and I was just chasing a pipe dream. So honestly, I have been on cloud nine all day.

Finally a day off! This is the first break I’ve taken from work in 7 days! Of course, things have been slow at work since taxes are due very soon but it’s the end of the month so I needed to work to pay my bills. I must’ve slept about 10 hours last night! I was just exhausted all day at work yesterday and it was hard not to fall asleep whenever I sat down. Good news though, I hear the site is almost done and I can’t wait!
Happy Easter!

Well today was Easter Sunday but no church and egg hunts for me.
Instead, I took my dogs a few miles up north to go hiking in an area known as Seven Springs. There was a little creek that we hiked along, and Cado learned how to walk through water for the first time. He looked a little confused at first but Lucky showed him how it’s done.
We stopped and had lunch, a quiche I made this morning. We couldn’t hike too long though because somewhere on the walk, Lucky hurt one of his paws and started limping a little. He’s okay now though. He is getting older and I think is starting to get a little bit of arthritis. He kept on track like a little trooper though. That was definitely fun today. I found out about the place online and would love to go back, maybe next time without the dogs, to explore it a bit more. Tonight no plans, except give the dogs a bath!
Freedom Fest

Last night was so much fun! We made a bunch of bbq and had some drinks with a few people from work and my neighbors from across the street.
All to celebrate Angie surviving her 24 hours in jail. We were up to about 3 in the morning and 4 girls slept over. We all crammed into one full size bed at the end of the night and got about 4 hours of sleep.
Angie’s silly butt wore a tube top last night but had the great idea of trying to wrestle all of the girls. Needless to say, we saw her boobs a few times. Haha. Luckily the house isn’t that messy and I should be able to get it cleaned up by tonight. Everyone had a great time too and it was the perfect amount of guests without getting too crazy.
SPRUNG!

So of course, today was the day that I got to see the county jail when I dropped my best friend off for her harrowing 24 hours! I had to drive about 30 miles to get there, as it is out in the middle of nowhere! The place is huge! Big separate male and female housing facilities surrounding the area known as tent city. I heard tent city was thought up by our sheriff after hearing that our troops in the middle east were being treated worse than people in America’s prison system. So he basically simulated the whole tents in the desert experience, where the prisoners freeze their asses off in the winter…and swelter with only swamp coolers in the summer! I was a little disturbed to see the sheriff’s name in HUGE letters all over EVERYTHING when we got there. It was all over each of the buildings, on every single van and truck that left the facility. I honestly thought it was a bit ridiculous. Our sheriff here has a reputation of being somewhat of a wannabe-celebrity and larger-than-life personality. What a waste of tax money is the way I look at it. Do we really need to have his name painted on everything????
Anyways, I dropped Angie off and I was surprised that she didn’t cry.
She brought in her own book and blanket so at least she can read while she’s in there. I wonder what she’s up to right now???? I guess I’ll find out everything tomorrow.

It’s been a busy weekend. Just worked all through it. I guess it was about the same as always. Things are slowing down a little bit. I’m guessing that it’s due to tax season…not to mention our receding economy. My friend, Angie, has been freaking out all week that she has to go to jail tomorrow. She honestly thinks they’re going to steal her food and pick on her. I think she will just be with a bunch of other people that got DUIs. Besides, it’s only 24 hours…and she even gets to bring in her own blanket and book. Can you say, sleepover???? Just kidding, it’s gotta suck. So I get to drop her off tomorrow and pick her up at the same time the next day. I feel almost like I got a DUI also, since I’ve had to go through this entire process with her. Good karma is coming my way, I know it. Good luck to Angie tomorrow! We also decided to throw a bbq/freedom fest for her after she completes her time.
My court experience.
April 11, 2008 by Isis Lee · Leave a Comment
Wow, what a long day! I had to get up early of course to take my best friend to her court appearance. Traffic wasn’t that bad since we could use the car pool lane. We got lost though and started freaking out about time. Then when we were finally a few blocks from the courthouse we almost got into an accident since downtown is filled with one way streets and people don’t know where they are driving! How ironic would that have been if we had gotten into an accident and couldn’t make it to court?? Anyways, court took forever! I thought she would go in to see the judge, plead guilty, then just get told her sentence. Nope, not that easy. First we went in to the first court room where we had to wait for her case to be called, while we saw other people and listened to their cases. Mostly traffic violations, some domestic violence, and one pathetic shoplifter. Finally she was called and after she talked to the judge and made her plea, he sent us to a completely different part of the building to see the prosecutor who would suggest her sentence. Finally after waiting in line and getting that done, we had to return to another courtroom where a completely different judge handed down her sentence. She only got one day in jail, a few months of alcohol classes, about 2 grand in fines, and an interlock device in her car to be installed for a year. Once we were done with that, we went down to the cashier and waited in line again.
Then down to the basement to be fingerprinted while I checked out cops coming out of the elevator. (Highlight of my day). Finally, finally, finally we went to our last stop, assessment services where she took a test to see if she is an alcoholic to deem how many hours of class she should receive. WOW! I wonder how many tax dollars were spent today going through this whole process! And what a pain in the ass! Angie treated me to lunch afterwards, and honestly I am pretty sick of talking about this thing. Once again, don’t drink and drive! Angie has to report to jail next week for 24 hours and guess which wonderful friend she’s asked to drop her off and pick her up???
Busy Week!
April 11, 2008 by Isis Lee · Leave a Comment
I haven’t been writing this week because I’ve just been busy working the normal daily grind. Not a lot of interesting happenings to report.
Tomorrow, on the other hand, I have to drive my friend, Angie, to her court appearance for the DUI charge she received before Christmas. She doesn’t want to go alone, and I also live closer to downtown and the courthouse. Not an event I’m really looking forward to since I have to get up around 6 a.m, then fight morning rushhour to get there. She would do it for me in a heartbeat though so I am being a good friend.
Just hoping to get some good karma out of the deal. She is scared out of her mind since the max penalty she can receive is up to 3 months in jail. Arizona just recently upped their penalties drunk driving so we have the most severe laws after Utah. I think she will get at least a day in the county jail, which is known as tent city since it is basically just a bunch of tents in the middle of the desert, surrounded by barb wire. And that’s not the worst part. In my opinion the things she should worry most about are her fat fines and getting an interlock device in her car for a year that you have to blow into to make the car start. We’ll see how it goes tomorrow. DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE!
Beagle Fest 2008
April 11, 2008 by Isis Lee · Leave a Comment
Well today was a day that I had been looking forward to for a while, Beagle Fest! I had seen the event webpage linked to the Arizona Beagle Rescue website that I was browsing a few weeks ago. My beagle, Lucky, was originally a rescue and I definitely have a huge soft spot for dogs. So today, I took both my dogs to the fundraising event and was surprised by how many people and beagles had shown up as well. There were easily 500+ beagles there! It was so adorable! I had to sign a liability waiver when I got there, but I wasn’t too concerned about it. Beagles are probably one of the only breeds you could actually hold a festival for since they get along with everyone. Think about it, have you ever heard of anyone holding a pittbull fest?????? Haha.
Anyways, it was a few dollars to get in, with all proceeds benefitting the AZ Beagle Rescue. I also got coupons for a few of the booths there. I took both my dogs to see a pet psychic, who basically told me a bunch of stuff I knew about them anyways. It’s okay though because it was sweet and pretty amusing. I also got them some homemade treats, a doggie photo frame, a portable water dish, and bandanas for the both of them. They had all kinds of exhibitors, even the police K9 trainers with some beautiful Dobermans. I hope all the beagles they had up for adoption found homes by the end of the day. It was hard not to talk to anyone about bringing one home to add to my pack! All in all, a fun day. And it must’ve been quite successful for the Beagle Rescue. I can’t wait till Beagle Fest 2009!
Wrapping up my weekend.

There isn’t much to report today. I’m thinking about going to get my nails and feet done later, and maybe stopping at the mall tonight to get something at the MAC makeup counter. Until then, I’m just working on some stuff on the computer and I’m planning on shooting a little solo content tonight. It’s back to my normal job tomorrow. The end of the month is coming up, which means it’s time to pay some bills!

Not a very glamorous day to report today. I started the day off with a trip to the grocery store to pick up a few items but ended up spending a little more. I have been craving a nice, thick, juicy rib-eye steak for the past few days so I got a few of those since they were being sold for a ridiculously low price. I also got a rib-eye roast which I am going to slow cook in my crock pot later this week. Are you getting hungry as you read this blog? I am! Anyways, I spent the rest of the day basically cleaning my house from top to bottom. My kitchen is spotless, the carpets are vacuumed, the laundry is clean, and even my dogs have been washed. It feels good to sit back now and be able to see everything I did, so I feel pretty accomplished with today. Now the only thing left to do is enjoy my dinner!
Work Work Work!
April 11, 2008 by Isis Lee · Leave a Comment
The weekend has come and gone again so that means only work for me.
Friday and Saturday were pretty busy and I actually did better than average on Friday, which surprises me a little since there were a ton of girls working also. Today was a little slower than an average Sunday though. One more day till my days off. I think I had a pretty decent work week in all. This is a little random, but Chinese new year finally came and passed. Chinese new year was always a bigger deal than the western new year when I was a kid. My siblings and I would all get the Chinese red envelopes with money in it and go to someone’s party where there was always a ton of food and hundreds and hundreds of the little red firecrackers to pop. I hardly seem to notice the holiday’s passing now that I don’t live with my parents anymore. 2008 is the year of the rat, which despite what it sounds like, should be a good year for me.
