Awesome party and a puppy update!!!

Well last night, I went to the club’s  annual Christmas party. It was a lot of fun with the same things as last year, and an addition of a Rockband room where you could play the video game with other players. I tried and failed pretty miserably, but people were laughing and having a good time. I got my caricature drawn, which turned out to look nothing like me but hey, it was free!

I also talked to a psychic who read my palm and told me some pretty generalized stuff. For instance, she said I had a long life line but she could forsee some health problems around 68 years of age. How many 68 year olds do you know that don’t have at least some minor health concerns????? Haha. I asked her if criminal justice would be a good field to go into and she said that I would be good at it,  but it would end up weighing me down. She also told me the same thing that every “psychic” I’ve seen has told me, that a lot of people are jealous of me. Duh, I already knew that. Just kidding. So in conclusion, not too mind-blowing of a reading. But once again, it was free! I also tried some roulette and blackjack in the casino where you won raffle tickets for every 500 you had in chips. I ended up with 6 tickets but no luck when they pulled the numbers. I think they were giving away gift certificates and plasma TVs. All in all, a pretty fun night and I love that everyone is so friendly with each other, even if some of us don’t really talk on a normal basis. The club must spend a bundle on the party every year also so it’s nice that they’re doing it for us. I never thought I would say this about working at a strip club, but I absolutely love our work environment. Rarely any drama, awesome management, and a closeness among most of the girls that you dont really see at other clubs. I mean, what other stripclubs have employee potlucks????

Anyways…..enough about work. I finally adopted out another puppy, Goldie, who also happened to be my favorite. A friend from work originally wanted to see the other remaining girl we call Houdini, but when she came over she liked Goldie’s outgoing personality more. I was actually guessing beforehand that would happen. She also has another dog, a poodle mix named Marley that was super excited about getting a friend. Her new owners seem to be good pet owners so I am not too concerned about her well-being. They had actually been looking for a puppy for a while. So now we just have to find a home for little Houdini and my work raising them will be done! I’m a little sad but still soooooo relieved it’s almost over.

I can’t believe Christmas is on Thursday and then 2009 will be here! Yikes!
