Happy Labor Day!

YAY! Today is Labor Day, which means summer is pretty much over! I’ve been feeling it a lot this week with the milder temperatures. Plus, it’s been getting better and better at work. (Although, it’s probably just my attitude.) It has seemed a lot busier the past 2 weeks. I worked last weekend and did very well, which was a welcome suprise. I took some time off this past Tuesday and shot some videos for the site, and did some “homework” online. Then, just worked the rest of the week through Saturday since it was the last week of the month.

 I gave myself a reward yesterday and hit up the waterpark with some of my girls from work. Labor Day weekend is also the last weekend the waterparks are open out here until next summer. I figure since all of the kids that work there are in high school. It was so much fun! The lines were also  very short and there were very few loud and annoying teenagers. Just a lot of little kids and their families. The group of us were getting a lot of looks! We went down one of the slides in double tubes, so I partnered up with one of my taller girlfriends. When we hit the splash at the bottom, I flew off the front of the tube and when I landed the top half of my bikini untied and came apart! Good thing I realized it right when we hit the water, so one of my friends came to my rescue while I held my boobs underwater! When we got out, I noticed some preteen boys and a father smiling at us! Haha, they must’ve seen what was going on. PERVERTS! It was pretty funny, and a little embarassing.

Something else funny happened when were going down some other slides later on. When I reached the bottom of one and stood up to exit, I noticed a little Indian girl run frantically up to the liffeguard, while pretending to be crying. She told him she lost her parents. He saw my friends and I watching and actually asked us to take her to the first aid station, which happened to be on the other side of the waterpark! I thought it was pretty unprofessional. I guess we don’t look like a bunch of pedophiles???! I should’ve joked to someone to go get the van!  LOL. The lifeguard couldn’t have been more than 18 years old. I guess he saw a bunch of girls and thought we could’ve handled the situation better, but geez!! What the hell do we look like?? The babysitter’s club????  Luckily, the little girl’s father and a friend appeared and she ran up to them. They didn’t even seem like they were looking for her, just having a good time…go figure.

All in all, it was still a fun day. The waterpark was small but the slides were fun…and we went on everything at least 3 times before we left. Plus, ate some overpriced amusement park junk food in the meantime. A great way to spend a Sunday. We hung out at my house afterwards and had some dinner and played a little trivial pursuit. The game could’ve gone on for hours but we decided to stop before it got too late, with me in the lead…and my friend, Paige in second, just one wedge behind me. I love trivia! Did you know, the term “peeping tom” actually refers to a character in a novel. I just learned that last night!
