Mom’s Day (written 05/11/08)

Overall, it’s been a good weekend. I did well at work on Saturday, then hung out across the street that night. The neighbors had a barbecue with a few of their friends and invited me. There were probably about 15 to 20 people there in all and we just had some drinks, ate food, and hung out in their beautiful backyard. Everyone was around my age and really nice. I even brought the dogs over there to hang out with theirs.  I have to admit it’s kinda funny to watch them try to play the humping to show dominance game with two beagles, a chow, and a little min-pin.  Anyways, I think everyone had a good time, dogs included. The food was good too. My neighbor, Randy, made chicken kabobs with peppers, onions, and grilled pineapple. 

Today is mother’s day so we didn’t open at work. It annoyed me a little since Sunday is typically a good work day for me but I have to remember that most of my co-workers and friends are mommies. I feel like a mom most of the time too, but I highly doubt Cado and Lucky got me any flowers or anything.  I’m just spending the day at home, cleaning and getting stuff done on the computer. Apparently, we are launching the site within the next few days so I am anticipating spending more time on this thing.  It’s already getting harder to keep up with myspace with my regular 9 to 5. I can’t wait till I can stop doing the 9 to 5 because I have to, and just choose to because I need a release from sitting in front of the computer.

I’m trying to remember to call my own mother later to wish her a happy mom’s day. I hope everyone has done so already, at least!
